She strives to support her clients in finding a better sense of body awareness and overall sense of well-being. She combines relaxation techniques and deep therapeutic pressure to help relieve tension, address specific orthopedic concerns, and promote your body’s ability to rest and heal. Techniques such as myofascial release, joint mobilization, Swedish massage, and trigger point therapy are used in combination with a variety of homecare recommendations to help you achieve your individual goals.

I strongly believe in the connection between mind and body. Call it holistic wellness, psychoneuroimmunology (what a mouthful!), or pain science—current research all points to a dynamic relationship between our mental state, our nervous system, and how we experience our physical bodies. This is why I believe it’s essential to create a treatment space that feels safe and relaxing—a place where you can find ease, so your mind and body can both unwind.

I draw from a diverse toolkit of treatment approaches, ranging from craniosacral and general Swedish massage to myofascial release and structural integration techniques. One approach isn’t better than another; they’re simply unique ways of interacting with your tissues.

It’s important that we start by defining your goals for our time together. Do you want to simply feel good? Massage can be effective to reduce stress and help the nervous system gear down into a restful, restorative state. But maybe that isn’t why you’ve come. Maybe you want to feel better—you want movement to come more easily, for your body to feel more comfortable as you go about your day. Maybe you’re working to rehab a specific injury and you’re adding massage therapy to your toolbox of supports. Massage therapy also shines in helping our tissues heal and return to optimal function. Defining these goals together will help determine which treatment approach could best support your needs.

The details: My career in healthcare began in 2009 when I founded Flourishing Family Doula Care. My work included teaching prenatal classes, attending home and hospital births, providing prenatal and postpartum care, and breastfeeding counselling. I primarily worked with high-risk, vulnerable families. In 2013, I transitioned to laboratory work in both hospital and outpatient settings. Through this career, I gained experience in trauma rooms, palliative care, intensive care, and psychiatric units. My patients ranged from newborns to the elderly, and all age groups between. Working in the hospital, I witnessed the profound impact of even a brief moment of therapeutic touch; this led me to embark on the inspiring career change that has brought me to today. I hope to see you here!

CST feels like a nurturing and gentle pause, one that encourages your body’s natural ability to heal. I have always had a keen interest in the body’s ability to heal itself, through food when I was a chef and now through touch as a RMT. I have been an avid resistance trainer for many years and spend much of my free time wandering the forests with my dog, Loki. I attended VCMT with the hopes of supporting people on their own journey to wellness and graduated in December 2023 with the Clinical Excellence award, distinguishing my patient-centred approach.
